via karen meisner of strange horizons:

Tilda Swinton, from her second State of Cinema address, San Francisco, 2006:

Can I be alone in my longing for inarticulacy - for a cinema that refuses to join all the dots? For an a-rhythm in gesture, for a dissonance in shape? For the context of a cinematic frame, a frame that - in the end - only cinema can ( Read more... )

God I love her so much. I would eagerly get inarticulate with her any day.

I've been rather in love with her ever since the glass coffin happening, where she slept in it in an art gallery.

I saw her first in Orlando when I was in high school, which I thought was kind of cute. Then a few years later something about her enormous eyes seemed to create actual gravity which made it hard to look away. "tilda swintons alien eyeballs" is actually on my LJ interest list since a few years ago.

Few people are the physical incarnation of themselves, if you know what I mean, but I think she most certainly is. I don't see a thing alien about her eyes, except that they seem to be more alive than most people's bother to be.

Oh? I haven't posted over there in a long while. What was it?

And of course you're welcome. The more the merrier, I figure! Pleasure to meet your acquaintance!

Ah-ha! Oh, that Duncan. Always outing me. *grins*

And yes, sure. We should do cake when you're up here, (which is like going for coffee for people who don't drink coffee).

As for Architecture, it depends on what you're looking for. If you're hoping for anything on the level of Frank Gehry, you're 100% out of luck.

Also, I've got a listing of Vegetarian/Pescatarian restaurants I should get around to posting. Maybe this will finally be my impetus.

I think she's better than win, she's Victory.

I do remember that. Of course, having wool hair makes anymore more snuggly, to be fair.
