Hell, I know. It's not like there's ever enough of it anyway, now we have to scare the next batch? Sheesh.

It has been discovered that oral sex leads to throat cancer?

The World shrugs and goes about its day.

If I had to bet on anything as being the end of the human race...

HPV is only scary when you know just how many people have it. (It's curable in the young). It's estimated that 80 - 90% of the human race are carriers. By the time you get to be about 25, it's a good bet that at least half of the people you know either have it or have had.

I have to add, in the interest of statistical accuracy, that while oral sex CAN be a factor in the transmission of HPV, the study's authours also noted that poor oral hygeine, smoking, drinking and poor overall health were stronger determinants in people actually GETTING cancer. So go down all you want!

My first reaction to your comment, honestly, was "What is Fitx doing here?" Not in a bad way, mind, it simply surprised me. *hugs*

I'd rank smoking at the top of the list, myself.

What a rad picture! Conveys exactly what would lack in being communicated with words!

Long distances require photos, I think.
