I've worked on a stupid number of productions where I was never officially hired. X-Files, for one.
I am a little appalled, occasionally, at the security lapses that I continually waltz through. I do this at concerts too. The number of times I could have concievably walked off with rather pricy toys is ridiculous.
At my lab's Virtual Worlds Consortium meeting thing on Friday, the keynote speaker showed us (amongst many other things) a photo of a carving representing the Haida creation myth. One of these days I should like to see such things for myself.
The speaker in question, Andrew Glassner, was talking about narrative and how mankind as a whole seems to be built to find patterns in and tell stories about the world around them.
