Being a cute kid was sort of this strange halo effect I would get free cookies whereever I went but I had to learn to defend myself agaainst kidnappers. My parents were offered money for me a few times.
Ha ha ha, a little scary, though. I so wasn't the cute one: that role was left to my little sister. There's a certain confidence that comes of it that can be a valuable tool in life.

i'm starting to wonder if anyone gets off this rock unscathed by its fires. i keep trying to build a lifeboat but my chartreuse carpet order keeps getting pushed back.
the picture slideshow is fantastic! you guys look like such canucks, its wonderful. i'm from new hampshire, so we look like canucks too.

I am actually incredibly impressed by that particular group of photos. They look so. very. canadian.
And yeah, making the world a friendlier place for kids is something on my To-Do list. I used to carry candy on me for the children I would encounter randomly in the world, but as parents got more and more suspicious of strangers, it became gradually more difficult. I started carrying individually wrapped candy, then stopped altogether when even that was being turned down too frequently.
I still don't understand why you simply don't smuggle one in some day. He followed me home after I payed the vet fifty dollars for every shot under the sun he could possibly need.
