As of today, I have 14 days until I leave with Robin and Nathan for Burning Man 2012.

So bookmarking for the eventuality of my Burning Man debut. On the other hand, I go to Playa del Fuego, which is an east coast burner event, and this list is still mostly relevant for that and other burner events.

Yeah, it took me about an hour to write, mostly as I added stuff to the necessity list and fretted about how little of it I currently have. :-) Glad it's of use to you!

You always were a burn natural, and various skills and character traits you have innately in your being are perfectly suited to playa life.

Much of this list for me comes naturally on instinct by now, but it is always good around this time of year to pull out a few favourite checklists and a sharpie no matter how much you think you have it all figured out.

This list, for instance, reminds me that I need to add one or two of those ginormous bottles of Baileys to my personal packing/todo list.

And definitely your guide alludes to one of the many valuable clichés to keep in mind: "Don't be a darkwad." Extra glow bracelets for lighting up friends, camp mates, strangers and guy lines have always served me well.

Ironically, Bailey's and glow bracelets are some of the only things I already have. :-P
