Small Alien for Sale

Or something like that. Life is unspeakably busy, and that will remain true for the next several months, at least. So I'm having fun making sims, even though I don't have time to play them.

I'm using Pixeltrade's Pollination Exploration rules, slightly modified for my own purposes. Instead of randomly selecting alien sims from the premade list and downloading before breeding them, I chose more-or-less randomly from the many aliens I had already downloaded. (Again, I'm aiming for speed, and cutting out any parts that might feel like work.) And instead of loading the sims into my game, I used the CAS pacifier (only one roll per pair, except in one case when I suspected a skin was not geneticized; I'm still not sure) to create offspring.

Enough chatter. Aliens!

First up, my randomizer selected Diamond (left) by alexination to be paired with Fifi Farfalle (right) by freudroid.

They produced Crimson (left), who appears to be a clone of her mother, except with a longer face from her father, which makes her look a bit awkward. (Plus his eyebrows, and tomato-colored skin apparently via lateral gene transfer.) Also take note of her nose. It will be sticking around.

Crimson was paired with Uffry Coyote by bondchick_nett (right). Together, they produced Facet.

Facet (left) bears an uncanny resemblance to his father; the only things he got from his mother are eye color, hair color, and Fifi's nose.

Facet teamed up with Chirp (right) by kathsy to produce Labhras.

Labhras (left) has an Irish Gaelic name. He's used to it being mispronounced, and doesn't mind if you choose to call him Lawrence, which is the English version. Genetically, he got almost everything from his mother, but he did snag the chin his father inherited from Uffry as well as Fifi's nose.

Labhras paired up with Lol Lol Fanks (right) by backerbse to produce Photina, who may be my favorite result of this experiment.

Photina (left) possesses an interesting blend of genetics, inheriting the most rounded features from each parent. Together with Elim Suli (right) by dxf_sims, she produced our next-to-last offspring: Zenon.

Zenon (left) disappointed me a bit, in that he is nearly a clone of Elim with Fifi's nose. Still, I like his leonine appearance. He paired with Galatea Wiggleswade (right) by runningbee.

They gave me Saito, who appears to have his father's eye shape and absolutely nothing else. He is also the first sim from this experiment not to inherit Fifi's nose; six generations is quite a run for a single feature, especially when you're not trying for any specific result.

All six aliens can be downloaded from my box.net folder. They're in zip files, each under their own name; if you want them all, download the one named Six Aliens. If you choose to use them, I'd love to hear about it.
