Gosh, it's like a sledgehammer to the face going back to work after such a nice long weekend. Oh well.

I didn't really do that much with my time off.
Friday, me and 3 buddies drove to Glasgow for the night. We just had a really good night out and then headed home on Saturday. The weather in Scotland was about 10 bazillion times better than in ( Read more... )

Oh sigh. I can't believe we're on the last ep already! Woe! But your theory regarding Gene being there and not Evan is totally gonna be trufax. I figured that big Alex will actually witness little Alex witnessing the explosion, but I never thought that Evan wouldn't be there, that it would be Gene running down the hill. What an amazing concept! And you're so right about her confusing the two of them all the time. I love how that'll all come together and when you look at the entire first series it'll all be foreshadowed so nicely. My favorite bit of evidence is in episode 6, when Gene takes her out of the freezer and she tells him, "You saved me." That to me is huge foreshadowing to the reveal that it was Gene who grabbed her hand that day.

GAH!!!!

Yeah the "you saved me" is the most compelling evidence so far. She almost says it with realisation, but I'm still sure that she'll be surprised when she realises Gene plays such a role in her childhood rescue.

I'm pretty interested to see how the aftermath of the car-bomb will be blocked. It looks like adult Alex is at the top of the hill, Gene is with little Alex, then we have flashbacks of Evan running, but mostly I'm a little confused about where everyone else will be.

I don't think Evan's there at all. I think the big reveal is going to be that it's Gene running down the hill to grab little Alex's hand while big Alex remains on top of the hill watching this all unfold. Perhaps they go on their own, since this is "a crime that hasn't happened yet." Alex prolly convinces him to trust her and follow her instincts. Stuff like that.

Also what's interesting is how in reality the "Gene" who takes her hand was probably just some random police officer. It's in her head that she has made that role to be Gene since she views him as her rescuer most of the time. How romantic, lol.
