Tricky Recs for a Monday

There are days when I just want to wallow in fics that share a theme. Sometimes, that theme is pretty broad, like Genderswap or MPREGS. Sometimes, though, that theme gets pretty narrow. Here are a few of my favorites.

I would definitely recommend:

1) The Legendary Grapefruits of Southern California by Torch, which surely everyone has read, but if you haven't, OMG READ IT.

2) Bitchy Barista by fluffontop, which I don't know that it even has a real title, but is amazing nonetheless.

3) Lighted Windows and Like It If You Dare, which are part of the Many-Roomed Houses of Wood series by Sandy and wearemany. It starts with Your Life Is Now. And I think the part by wearemany is one of my absolute favorite TrickCs ever.

I totally didn't remember that there were TrickC parts to the Many-Roomed Houses of Wood series! I need to read that again.

OMG, the TrickC bits are the best parts. I mean, no, I love the Justin part. BUT. The TrickC parts make me cry while also being SO HAPPY for them. *hearts* There's a part where JC makes a list and... it's just really sweet and amazing.

I may mention that Hazy Like a Summer Afternoon and Steam have both been made into podfics...maybe you could include links to those?

I have no recs to add, since I don't really keep track of what I've read (bad Steph), but this should keep me busy reading for a few hours couple days. :)

And also - my favourite ever pining TrickC is Wolves & Boybands Mate For Life by merryish and the remix by giogio.

And Merry's Bouyancy is a lovely TrickyFish with pining and almost sex.

Chris/JC Recs

I have been trying to get my del.icio.us list in some sort of order (which would make finding stories so much easier!), but I am so far behind I don't think I'll ever catch up on that. But I've accepted Chris/JC as one of my favorite pairings ever since the first time I read Absinthe Makes the Heart Grow Fonder by Mickey M and NoPseud Attached, and here are a few of my my other favorite Chris/JC stories:

1) Coffee Shop by Althea is just a sweet little story. No pining and nothing angsty... Chris and JC drink gingerbread lattes and go dancing ... and have sex in the parking lot up against the wall and across the car. Not complex, but I liked it.

2) Polish by Deirdre. JC helps Chris with his nails, which leads to some intense making out. This is by the same writer who gave us the wonderful Love and Other Miscommunications, the AU bookstore story with the predatory JC/AJ pairing.

3) Betting On the Wrong Team by Synecdochic. This takes place in Orlando before they even went to Europe the first time. Chris finally has a day off,

duh i'm such a spaz that even all the days later i just now realized i recommended a story that was already recommended by the person directly above me. major duh. but i guess that just proves what a good story it is
