Well... it's not exactly classic literature, but there *is* a story which pretty much encompasses the fun of popslash. It has too many authors to list, and was written in Shropshire. I remember being so pleased when people got the idea and actually started adding their five words to it, and faintly bewildered at the extreme level of crack, and utterly horrified by five particular words added by the evil nopseud. And so on.

This is hard to narrow down to one. I'll say Phaballa's Letters to Prague, since Phaballa is a great writer generally, this story and its prequel and drabble are awesome and subtle and meaningful, mpreg is just so popslash, and Prague and pregnancy both hold a lot of meaning to me. So there.

I suppose Heart Of The Jungle by patchworkdragon falls here for me too!

Chris' Cave will always hold a special meaning for me. Not only was it the first popslash story I wrote, but I think it will always be my favorite of my own stories (which tends to amuse me when other people groan about how awful their 1st attempt was).
