OMG. THIS. <3 I want it out that I love 별, which I read was inspired by Se7en and Park Han Byeol's love story. I like Jay Park more after knowing that tidbit! It's a beautiful song. :D Moving on before I melt into a puddle of happy tears, this mini album is a solid one. I Got Your Back is another smooth R&B that Jay nails. OMG again. Taking a different style to his debut mini album, this kind of direction came as a surprise. Though I didn't find a track I liked, I AM TOTALLY SPAZZING OUT ABOUT THE MARIO BROS. SOUND EFFECTS IN Lucky Guy. There is no mistaking it. Mario is alive in it! :D

Davichi's mid-tempo pop ballads sound very flowery to me, with a distinct Kpop flavour. That's kind of the image I have. ;) I appreciate the cheerful tone to their songs too. Ria asked me if there was a song reminiscent of her fav Davichi songs (Love And War, and 8282) and I think Don't Look For Me Again might perhaps fit what I associate with " ( Read more... )

Both these releases were pretty good with no particularly bland tracks. Kim Hyun Joong's Please is a bit reminiscent of his Be Good To Me solo on SS501's "Collection" mini album. He suits that style. Kiss Kiss is really generic and infectious and cute but enjoyable in that kind of way. LOL :P I unfortunately think Break Down didn't really suit his ( Read more... )

As a title track, I really liked Abandoned... tried out this release because of it. I'm getting a lot of Tae Yang deja vu, but really appreciating the fusion of R&B and hip hop all throughout with other elements thrown in.
