BSB slash recs?

Feb 22, 2009 18:27

hello. I've had a sudden craving for popslash suddenly - of the BSB variety. Does anyone have non-AU** recs for any of the below pairings? The fic could be written recently or be very old. Please indeed rec yourself. Happy endings only, please. And if the guy is married, I'd like fic that's set pre-marriage (or post-fictional!divorce ( Read more... )

Now or Never by Slim and Without Me is Lance/Nick and it's a rocky story but it does end happily. It's a great fic that puts you in Nick's head for a crazy ride down the road of self discovery and, eventually, love.

Summer On the Half Shell: Love Tastes Like Lemon Ice Cream When You’re Not Paying Attention by delia_stories is AJ/Justin with a side of Lance/Nick and is another one of those uphill struggle stories but it also has a happy ending. I love this fic to the end of the world and back because it makes AJ/Justin believable for me.

That's all I've got for now.

oh thank you! Cool! I don't think I've ever read a happy ending AJ/Justin.

I love, love, love 'Summer On the Half Shell'. I've never read an AJ/Justin that ended well until this fic which may be part of the reason I love it so much.

(Side Note: Are you the author of Refraction? Because if you are then you should probably know that I also love that story. I rec it whenever I can because I love Justin's thoughts on himself and of course the Timbertrick.)

Enjoy!

Are you the author of Refraction?

I am! I almost fell off my chair in shock when I saw you linked that in another post on this community. It made me rethink having never put my popslash back online - there's gotta be at least 5 or 6 that can be salvaged. Your affection for it has me considering doing a polish on the story and putting it back up. :)

I would also recommend
Arsenic Jade's site, as she has a lot of BSB stories there, and she's wonderful at writing them ( ... )

I didn't even see Letterboys on there but I'll just point you in the direction of Collaboration by Pensnest for some AJ/JC. You can poke around there too and I'm sure you'll find some other fics you'd enjoy.

I wrote Love and Moments which are both pretty fluffy Brian/Nick fics.

Enjoy!

Oh, and here's another site: Pop_Newsletter's Bookmarks on delicious. The newsletter is posted weekly, and all the fictions linked in it are also bookmarked on delicious. (Just in case you haven't used it before: along the right side of the page, under Tag Bundles, click Pairing. All the various pairings (AJ/Brian, Lance/Nick, whatever) are listed there alphabetically. Click on the pairing you want, and the search function will show all the stories featuring that pair.)

I will indeed rec myself. Under the Bridge on the Brooklyn Side is Chris/Nick.

thanks for that!

P.S. Okay, I am so utterly amused at this story. I started reading it, and hee. The narrative voice is starting out great --
But eventually, inevitably, there came a day when the dulcet tones of Nick Carter over-emoting and managing to drown out everyone except AJ reached his ears. It was Joey’s fault, of course, as Chris had always known it would be.

“Watch your language around my kid, asshole” HA!

Thank you! I usually only link myself when someone gives me permission. :)

I so loved this story. They're both so screwed up, poor babies.
