And I was just starting to think, "Should I send them something for Christmas despite all the problems we're been having?"

I just don't even know where to go from here. Ugh.

Nope. My sister and I are kind of puzzled about how to handle this situation.

D= That sucks and that's not ok. I'm not sure it would be useful to confront them but if you guys are sure it was them, it's just more evidence to you that you have to be very assertive with your boundaries and mostly careful with yourselves and not with them. WTH forever. That sucks so much!

It really does, and I'm extremely disappointed.
Considering the fruitless and upsetting phone conversation my sister had with them last night, I don't think confrontation will lead to anything positive or worthwhile. They think they are justified in these actions (at least my mom does, which likely means my dad does by association). Neither of us should have to continually explain why that's crossing a line. This is not even the first time this has happened; it's a serious shame that so many years later, we're still dealing with this.
I think professional help needs to be sought out before I can attempt to have a relationship with either parent.
If either of you is reading this right now, please don't take that lightly. You need help.
