Hi Lindsey, thanks for your wonderful comment, I was a little overwhelmed by it to be honest! But in a very nice way. I'm so glad that you liked it. As you know, I'm a romantic fool and just love them being slushy with each other! I'm glad Ennis's chat with Justin worked - and you are right, it doesn't matter whether Justin is gay or not, the fact is, he feels he can talk to Ennis, and that's the main thing.

Thanks so much, your words meant a lot to me. x

There are certain fanfic writers that I can relax with. What do I mean by that? I mean that I don't have to make allowances for awkwardness, that they are technically proficient, that their understanding of the characters is based upon a strong understanding of the way people think and act. It means that I don't have to think "this sentence doesn't make a lot of sense to me but I'll ignore it," or "I'd never believe a character would say what he did but I'll ignore that, too."

As this story has progressed your writing and understanding have just gotten stronger, it seems to me, so that I am certainly relaxing. That is a *big* compliment from me, poppyhoney! It doesn't happen often in fanfic writing for me. I really enjoyed reading this chapter and I'm looking forward to plenty more. The exchanges around the campfire and with Justin were superb; you've got a handle on teenage group dynamics, I think.

More!
Love,
Jenna

Hello Jenna. Thank you so so much for your lovely comment. I was truly overwhelmed to read it, and I am so glad that you are feeling relaxed reading my story. I am most definitely taking that as a HUGE compliment!! Thank you, really. I'm so glad you liked the dialogue and the campfire exchange - I want it to be and sound believable. But most of all, I want people to enjoy it. Hope you continue to do so. xx

My heart just aches for Justin - I know it's way the things are, but I don't understand the need of some people to be cruel to others as the way to inflate their own egos. Ahh...well, what goes around comes around and some day Ryan and Scott will learn that. I have the feeling Ennis and Justin are going to learn a lot from each other - they both have such tender hearts. And I was really impressed with counselor Jack - he handled that situation so well. The letter from K.E. spoke volumes and I hope Jack holds on to that and Ennis's words and the memory of the bright stars when things get tough as they inevitably will. Wonderful writing. Thanks!

Hi Marie, Thanks for your comment. Glad you liked it, although I understand you feeling bothered by Ryan's attitude, so am I. But yes, sadly it is the way of the world sometimes. But Jack and Ennis see through it. Thanks so much for reading.
