Toms shoes partnered with hanson on the walk tour. The mile walks before the shows are down barefoot to kind of raise awareness for aids and poverty in africa. For every pair of toms sold, the company matches those with a pair for a child in africa who has no shoes. Through the walk tour hanson sold something like 50,000 pairs (just on the first leg of the tour).
Hanson designed a pair called great divide (in reference to their song which is about aids in africa). The proceeds go to an aids foundation, and they are still matching a pair for a child with no shoes. Www.tomsshoes.com

Toms shoes just called me. The great divide toms were hand stamped andthey were having aproblem with the ink bleeding when it got wet. So they are going to get their factory to make them instead and its going to be about 2 months before I get them.... :(
