... you really think so? I find this a little surprising, because I base the way I write stutters off of real life experiences. I had a good friend in high school who had a stutter, and I based Molly's speech patterns after him. If you've never known anyone with a stutter, it's actually quite realistic to get stuck on a single letter for quite some time. My friend's stutter was pronounced to the point that he would sometimes have to stop himself after stuttering the same letter, say, twelve times, and restart the word. Molly has an actual stutter, so that's where I draw her more pronounced stuttering from.
For Xion's, I drew on my own experiences of talking through chattering teeth, but hers might be a bit overdone actually.
OH. No no, that wasn't fear. |D I can see how that would come across as odd and really forced then. Yeah, she's got an actual stutter, has had one all her life. (though there was of course no real good way of putting that into any of the threads.... so. |D I can see where the confusion came from.) A real stutter, I think, is probably not something I'd try to attempt without having heard one for myself. 8|a I don't even know how representative my friend's stutter is of other stutterers -- who knows, he could be totally atypical! but my intention with Molly was to mimic him, so I can at least promise I'm not just pulling that out of thin air.
you have a point with Xion, though. I'll keep it in mind, at least. o/
oh and do you want me to rescreen your comments. I figure it's prolly not necessary since lmao this is hardly a big deal but I leave that up to your preference.
