Thank you, bb *HUGS* The paper is finished and turned in, which is a huge weight of my shoulders. I also don't have to close the store Thursday - just Saturday and Sunday - so that's a bit of a relief. Now to just get through the weekend!
People always take advantage when they can. Try to think of nice stuff while working through the stress. It might help. Your company doesn't sound like they're very organized.
*HUGS* Thanks bb. I definitely need to remind myself to stay calm. As I was told by a friend: this is a part time, minimum wage job. Certainly nothing worth getting so upset over!
*HUGS* I'm sorry to hear things haven't been so well lately. Sounds like your co-workers aren't all as nice and conscientious as you are. Those are good qualities, and you should feel proud that you possess them. I know it must be hard, and feel scary too, to have to do all those things you haven't yet gotten the hang of. But I know you will. Think of this as gaining more experience, and alongside you gain more confidence.
Here's a little story that might help. I didn't have a proper job until around five years ago, meaning I was pretty old :D and even that was just temping. (At the library, where I've been a couple times since.) I was terrified to even go and ask it they'd let me work there (I can only temp until I finish the studies I'm continuing, starting this spring). And I was no less scared to start work, so worried of all the things I might do wrong. (Not to mention I was so afraid of dealing with people as customers) But mistakes happen, even to people who have worked there for decades. It's human
( ... )
I'm hoping that this coming weekend won't be as crazy as the last one was. I've actually got someone scheduled to work with me this time, so I should have *some* help, even if they are slow.
Your little story really is comforting - I appreciate you sharing that with me :) I think another part of my problem is that I'm a bit of a perfectionist, so I want to get everything done, and I want to do it well and still get out on time, and it just isn't working. I'm going to try and be more relaxed this weekend about things.
Your support means a great deal to me, thank you ♥ I'm so lucky you're my friend!
