This guy: A Louisiana justice of the peace said he refused to issue a marriage license to an interracial couple out of concern for any children the couple might have.

The key point of his commentary that I think everyone needs to hear/read... It's not the KKKers and Nazis, the blatant, in-your-face, forms of oppressive, humiliation, and denigration

Tony and I were *just* having the "WTF? Does that guy even LISTEN to what he's saying?" conversation about that news article. "I'm not a racist"....MY A$$.

I'm so tired of Louisiana being in the news for things like this. Also our hooker-loving Republican Senator who apparently is made of teflon voted against Al Franken's "let's don't approve of government contractors who don't allow their employees to file rape charges against their coworkers" bill.

All in all a bad news day for the state.

this just makes me sad. This could've been me (hell my state certified marriage certificate lists me as white, I guess even tho the clerk saw me they couldn't wrap their head around the fact that a white man was marrying a black woman.)

I hate when people use "think of the children" as and excuse for bigotry.
