I know what you mean. When Violet started imitating the faces I was making at her I thought, "congratulations, you're now smarter than Keiko." But she's still more animal than human. I can't wait until she starts pretending. I love watching the little synapses forming in her brain as evidenced by the changes in her behaviour. It's like watching the evolution of man in my living room.
