God, that's awful. But the letter is very good.

Thanks, I felt pretty strongly about letting someone know.

I have to admit that I initially thought the organization at the venue was very good. I.e. when it came to handing out numbers, letting people in at a moderate pace etc. But that whole lack of water business was just awful. And don't get me started on the fact that they only had (dry) nacho chips to offer as food.

I kind of thought so too, especially when we were able to sit in the shade at the very beginning... but that didn't last long and if you remember, nearly everyone after us was out in the sun again.

Oh yeah, just what people dying of thirst need... salty, prepackaged nacho chips.

Larry is highly displeased.

How awful! The lack of water in the heat of summer sounds like a real safety hazard to me :( Glad you guys are okay!

No kidding! Kind of like a lawsuit waiting to happen, yeah?

If they did that here, they'd have a riot on their hands. Why is venue security so faily so often?

Great letter, I hope you get a reply from them.

I think security is either subtly or overtly given the message that the masses are going to try and get by with anything they can to step outside of the "rules" and their job is to prevent that at all costs, humanity be damned.

I did my best to research who the director of facilities would be; I really hope this is the correct person. If I don't hear anything back, I'm sending it to someone else.

It'd be good to get some public notice of this too if you can. Nothing like public condemnation to get companies to change their ways.
