so I'm teaching Chronicles of Riddick to my 11s and there's a lot of religious imagery in there, and I think the Necromonger's ships are particularly reminiscient of a sculpture or painting of the doors to hell or purjury or something? If you can work stereotypes into it, you could point out, that despite him looking all buff and 'gansta', Vin Disel is actually a big geek fanboy and that his tattoo on his arm is actually his D&D Ranger's name in Elvish.

hahaha! I didn't know that :P

I'm trying to get them away from being reliant on stereotypes as a technique since there's only so much you can do with it and generalisations don't get very good marks.

second. although doesn't really operate as a sequel other than there are a few similar characters.

and yes, very good for a sci-fi/action movie with vin diesel as the main character :P
