Oh no!!

Is he ok?

*HUGS* for my Smudge (guess I won't be playing "got your butt" with him for a while.)

The fur on his tail and hindlegs and feet is all spikey. I looked up the hazmat data for the glueboards and there's no toxicity to be worried about, unless he got his eye stuck to the trap (and he didn't). It's not water-soluble at all, but I'm going to get some kitty shampoo and attempt to bathe him tonight anyway. It can't hurt. Unless he scratches me.

He can still move around and eliminate without any problems, so I think he'll be just fine. He'll just be involuntarily picking up small objects for a while.

So I take it I'm sleeping there tonight if I wish to see you?

So there won't be any kitty renditions of The Breakfast Club, then.

Ok, this might be overshare .... my cat Charlie has long fur and sometimes he gets "poopy butt". I've found it is much easier to get a pair of mustache trimming scissors (you can get them at CVS or Duane Reade over in the section where they sell nail clippers, tweezers, etc) than to bathe. Just trim off the sticky fur. :o)

Most small dogs with curly hair, especially ones with coarse hair, have to get a poop-chute trimmed into their -- most people I know use an electric shaver, like a beard-trimmer. They're so cheap and easy to use, you'll wonder why you don't have a beard! (And a separate trimmer of your own, of course.)

But yeah, anything meant for men's facial hair will be pretty good at nipping off little bits of hair without, one hopes, ruining the lot. Whether you go electric or not depends on how cool the animal will be around the noise.
