Guy at work: "I go to my chiropractor once a month for my back. It really works!"
Me: "If it works, why do you have to keep going back?"
Guy: "It works for me."

Did he mean it really works for his back? Because that I get. I go to a chiropractor as well (yes, I do) but I go for my back and neck, I don't believe it can cure diseases or anything unrelated to joints. That's nonsense afaic. I do believe other complaints can come from back and neck issues, but those are not diseases, just cause and effect. I've seen about 3 chiropractors through the years and none of them ever talked about this even though you have to fill in a standard form on your first visit that, among other things, asks about various complaints and illnesses.

As far as having to keep going back is concerned... Just because you have to go back regularly, doesn't mean there's no improvement whatsoever. That'd be like saying insulin doesn't work because you have to keep using it. I very often have bad cricks in my neck and upper back, which is painful but the neck ones also gives me serious headaches, and I've tried a lot of things but the chiropractor works best for this *shrugs*
