I haven't found anything more direct, but imagine it would be very expensive. Does anybody know if there's something like the Baltimore Chinatown bus that comes from Albany or Kingston instead of NYC or another ( Read more... )

The Dragon Deluxe Chinatown bus goes from Albany to NYC (pick it up by Lee's Market on Central Avenue), but it doesn't stop in Kingston, and the schedule is a bit spare. The next leg, from NYC to DC, does stop in Baltimore.

Another option is, if you can get from Kingston to Poughkeepsie's Metro-North station, you can Metro-North down to NYC for really cheap, and move on from there.

if it's more than just you, the most efficient way to go is renting a car.... it's about 4.5 hours if you take 95 and a little longer if you take the inland route, which in turn saves money on tolls....

trailways runs like 12 buses a day from kgtn to NYC, so i imagine there has to be something that matches up with a bus to points south, without creating a long layover.
