E-file Tax Return

I e-filed my taxes Sunday night with direct deposit I mailed in the rest of the paperwork on Tuesday. Has anybody e-filed this year? How long did it take you to get your refund? I have money for rent, utilties and other bills but without the refund I wont be driving or eating for a few weeks until I get the refund.

it depends entirely on when the IRS "accepted" your efile. in most cases it happens within and hour or so of the forms being transmitted, but you may want to check. a number of my friends have had a hiccup this year with the IRS having an incorrect birthdate on file for them.

Your tax refund is scheduled to be direct deposited on February 23, 2007. If your refund is not credited to your account by February 28, 2007, check with your bank to find out if it has been received. Please wait until February 28, 2007 before you contact us again because we are unable to take any action until then.

about 10 days. IRS website said I'd get it by Feb 13, but I got it earlier. My father's took longer (and was done a week earlier but much simpler form). It seems direct deposit hits on Friday's - at least it did for myself and dad.

Yeah, I think the IRS site isn't quite accurate about when it will come. I was told I'd get my federal by March 20, but it came this morning. AKA the "Oooh! That money wasn't there when I went to bed!" phenomenon.

Oh good - my boyfriend couldn't e-file. I checked online to see when he should expect his money, and it said March 27. I really, really hope it magically comes in by the end of the month, and your post is encouraging.
