crap. my roommate did a load of darks after i just did a load of whites (with bleach). she now has spotted towels and a pair of dress pants. this has never happened to me before and i'm sure others have done a regular load after my bleach load before (i even probably have done them consecutively). chances are its our crummy washer but there's ( Read more... )

this obviously won't work for huge spots, but i work in a restaurant, and my uniform shirt is black with restauranty stuff printed all over it.
they often make me clean things with bleach, and i end up splattering some on myself, so i have these orange spots.
i just fill them in with sharpies....
you can't tell its any different without looking really hard.

I've done the sharpie thing, too. I guess I really doused one of my fav T's though once, the bleach ate through it after I colored it.. LOL

Careful with that bleach! I never really use the stuff, but just to clean with now. I'm always scared I'm going to put too much in the wash and end up with towels falling apart.

dye wont do an even job unless you fully bleach out the other colours.

Just a tip if you give your clothes an extra rince in cold water (bleach releases better in cold water) it will help get it out of the washer and make sure its out of your fabrics so they last longer

I always wash towels after I bleach stuff...

I second the marker thing, and crayola crayons (not the washable) work too, and have more colors.
