Does Anyone Have Recipes for Halloween Pumpkins , , ,

. . . that are not soups or desserts? I can get a pumpkin the size of my toddler for $9.00 flat (and the price will drop steadily all month), but I need a recipe with some meat in it or my husband will never touch the stuff. Slow cooker recipes would be best. Thanks in advance!

I don't have the recipe off hand, but roasted pumpkin is *so* good and you can serve it with just about anything.

Pumpkin chili? I found some recipes on-line today, but haven't tried it out yet.

I've substituted pumpkin for butternut squash in the past, so maybe try looking up recipies for butternut squash. I have a ton of squash recipies but they're all vegitarian side dishes :/ sorry

When I was a kid, my dad used to get free pumpkins after Halloween and make a yummy pork and pumpkin stew. I don't have the exact recipe, but here are a few you can look at and see if you might want to try.

I have a recipe for medieval pumpkin stew. It has meat in it, very good. let me know if it's too much like soup or not.
