Almost Wordless Wednesday: Sew There!

My mom and grandma both sewed; dresses, skirts, pillows, Christmas stockings - you name it.  I have many, many memories of them both huddled over my mom's sewing machine, scolding it when it wouldn't do what it was supposed to, laughing when one of them accidentally closed up a seam...

Unfortunately the sewing gene seems to have skipped a generation

Wow, I'm impressed. I had to take a pair of jeans to a little tailor's shop to have them hemmed last week. My grandma used to do it for me. I miss her along with her awesome sewing machine. :)
