So ... aside from mainlining all Chuck ever, I've been reading Bleach as well, slowly but surely I managed to make my way through the Karakura 'stuff'. I also got to the very start of the Soul Society arc, but I will not be discussing that here

The fake/TV psychic chapters made me want to chew glass.

URGH SAME HERE. I cannot STAND Don Kanonji (although oddly, the Viz releases made him more tolerable somehow. I'm not sure how, they just did). That arc was ass in a can.

I would like to note that right after posting this I managed to break a glass I was carrying and cut myself while cleaning up the mess ... clearly this is my subconscious being forced to deal with thinking about that arc again.

Actually, in most cases...the Soul Society is not right. Especially where the Quincys are concerned, but you'll find that out later. 8|; I admit, Uryuu's not one of my favourite characters, but he does have his moments in the Soul Society Arc that do manage to redeem some of his earlier failings.

ALSO, READ THE SOUL SOCIETY ARC. Gin appears fairly early on being mysterious and bad-ass. DO EET.

I think the issue with Uryuu for me is that even if you go back later and find out that the Quincys are right you still have the introduction where it's like 'this guy is hideously wrong and a jerk and a dumbass'. It's hard to recover from that.

I'm working on the arc right now. Already saw Gin! I should have totally mentioned you in my special mention, because Gin was definitely one factor that lead me to get reading! Peter was there first though.
