Visiting

This weekend I had the good fortune to find myself in LA eating Salvadoran cuisine along with thatgirljj and her hubbie. I realized two things in their company. 1. It's really nice to be in the company of adults who are in the same mental place as me. Most of my local friends are single or dating or dating and living together. I can think of only one good ( Read more... )

Seriously, we were feeling SO MUCH the same way about hanging with you. It's just so amazingly nice to know that we have other friends who have the same kinds of thoughts and challenges. Some of the stuff we talked about, we just don't know anyone else who has the same thoughts as we do... if we mention that stuff they're like "Oh, maybe I should think about that." You and Jeff are going to do SO FRIKKEN AWESOME since you're handling those things already.

If it weren't for the traffic, I'd insist that you guys move down here. :-D You get back alright on the subway?

The subway was great. Seriously, I dunno why ya'll don't like it. My misconceptions about it are probably helped by the fact that I have no idea where anything in LA actually is--the subway gives me a sense of knowing more than I do.

Thanks for thinking we're awesome! It would be great if we lived closer cause then I could come play with your son--eventually :)

We like it plenty! It doesn't go everywhere we want to go, but when it does go somewhere, it's very convenient. And it's head and shoulders above our bus system (which is annoying as hell and never on time).

I am yet to enjoy any city's bus system. I think it's the whole everyone needs to sit in the same traffic but I get to sit with 50 strangers problem.
