Cause a few friends said the job hunting process is scary

A few of my LJ friends are out looking for jobs and feeling the pinch and my last post raised some ugly spectors. I apologize for that and thought that maybe talking about my method for job hunting might help. ( rockfestfreak and jezebeltw this one is for you )

Thanks for the advice. You put a lot of thought and time into the post and I appreciate it.

I did get a call-back for a job that I mainly applied for because it was *something. I don't think I'll pursue it. I have an app in somewhere I would like to work, but I haven't heard back.

The hardest thing for me is that there just aren't a lot of jobs out there for me. The nearest town is 10 miles away and it's small. The job I want is 20 miles, which would be fine. My current job is a 40 mile drive and I really would like to not have to do that anymore (part of the reason I don't want the job mentioned above). Add in the fact that I'm looking for part time and it's slim pickin's. At least I've got a little time to come up with something.
