Yeah... I thought it was pretty crap to be frank. There were a couple of good lines, and good ideas, and Rupert Graves was pretty when you weren't listening to what he was saying, but otherwise that was not what I want to watch.
Oooooooh, he's the twat who writes all the Torchwood that I hate, with the laziness and the unfortunate implications! Oh well, it all makes fucking sense now.
Please, please, please can a lady have anger without it being flirting really? Please? Can we maybe look at the implications of English white people going to Africa to shoot the hell out of all the wildlife at a time when there were colonial wars going on? Instead of just saying he's a rogue and the African queen will give in and shag him? GRAAAAAAAAAARGH.
I fear the BBC will pick him as the next show runner of Doctor Who tbh. You'll need a different show runner for that, Moffat's female characters all seem to want to flirt with the Doctor. Which may or may not be fufilling Moffat's teenage boy fantasies.
It was fun to watch, but it had the usual Chibnall problems (good premise, poor execution of premise etc). Just hope his other script is a lot better than this one (I believe that'll be episode 4). Amy and nefertiti were underused, to a criminal level really. Didn't mind Brian too much, Wilf lite as he was. He'll be back....
I did love that Brian kept a trowel in his pocket. And Rory finally got to do cool nurse stuff, so Yay! for that, and for Amy running the computer and sussing out what was going on. But the chauvinism was beyond annoying, and there were several points when I wanted to smack the writer upside the head. Thanks for doing it for me. ;-)

Harsh but correct. Alternatively, he's that squib cousin of the Weasley family who became an accountant.
WHERE ARE MY GIRL-VOICED ROBOTS, BTW?
Is that a call to bring back Trinny and Susannah??
Chibnall's Torchwood roots were definitely showing, what with the pterodactyls and knob jokes.
