I has seen the commentary and it was good (and there was bitching about the robot). However the lack of Strickson!commentary on The King's Demons sorrows me muchly.

Oh poo, that's a bit cheeky of them. I can see why they wanted to stick King's Demons onto something, but why they didn't put that and The Awakening together is beyond me.

Planet of Fire... ahh, am so exicted about seeing a less crappy version than the mysteriously orange VHS rip. Icons might have to ensue. :D

I have spoilered myself, but there isn't a lot known.
So that's a good thing. I'm expecting the unexpected.

I think this has been the best series of Doctor Who yet in the new era (not knocking RTD in anyway). Moffat wants RTD to write for Doctor Who again.

I have too many boxsets and books. I've just about managed to cram my Lord of the Rings Blu-Ray boxset onto the dvd/blu-ray shelves... I still haven't bought the Doctor Who speicals boxset on blu-ray hehe

I really have loved this year to bits: think it just dovetails more with my favourite kind of Who - daft fairytale told by a mad scientist. Love the RTD era too (with multiple provisos, but then I'm sure I'll end up with niggles about Moff too in time).

I'm back in library mode with books due to space - but somehow amazon parcels still seem to arrive every now and then. *coughs*

I think it's also to do with the fact Moffat had 2 years or so of being able to prep for his first series in charge (sounds like he's a bit behind for series 6. Christmas special starts shooting July 12th i think).
I think the problem with RTD was that he had great ideas (some of them were a bit fairytale like), but for whatever reason he rarely managed to conclude things properly. Which Moffat appears to be able to do.

I've not actually ordered anything from Amazon in ages.
Been buying the odd book here and there from waterstones or whsmiths. I'm gonna visit the library soon, though erm i need to find my library card. Tis hiding with my botanic garden entry card no doubt. I have a desire to read a book or two in the shade of Tolkien's favourite tree....

Amazon says they can remember it for you wholesale sell them to you separately. At least, each serial is listed as a separate item under Gifts -> Cult Items. Don't think King's Demons is worth it, but I crave commentary possibly as epic as Mawdryn.

I know! It's been the thing I moan about on LJ for about the last 4 years, and then it comes out after all and I sort of fail to notice. IF IT HAD BEEN THE GINGER MINX BOXSET IT WOULD HAVE BEEN SO VERY DIFFERENT.
