There's so much on my mind lately that I hardly know where to begin. I don't post hardly at all anymore - certainly not for lack of things to say. Life feels like absolute mayhem lately. Things will get themselves sorted out sooner or later, though

That is a major chunk of country!

I think anyone would have trouble sleeping under those circumstances. Hope you got to sleep eventually, and that in spite of the caffeine, it was fairly restful.

Also, I get frustrated when I try to do that map thing, because I simply don't remember all the places my family went when I was a kid. Some, just not all. Like, we did a loop of the west starting and ending in Illinois, but I'm not sure which states we drove through closer to Illinois. And we went to the Smoky Mountains, but I have no idea if the place where we went was in Tennesee or North Carolina, or what route we took driving there.

It would make more sense for me to just to a map of places I've been as an adult, but then there would be so very much less for me to mark off.

Looking at the empty places on a map like that gives me a momentary illusion that I am filled with an exploratory fervor, and want to travel more for the sheer joy of traveling and seeing new things. It's totally not true. I'd rather get immersed for a while in one place than visit twelve. But maps are like that.

Thanks for the thoughts. I did get to sleep, eventually, and although I'm up now, 4-5 hours later, I'm feeling okay. I've managed to pinpoint the location of the sole Starbucks in Provo, UT, and plan on venturing out just as soon as Becca wakes up (maybe sooner depending on how things go
