So, the trees are down and cleared away. It's sad that our shade is gone and they were a fair size so replacing them will take growing time but again - Thank you Emerald Ash Borer.

I lost a tree myself, although mine was due to the storm, and I'll need to have it replaced in the fall -- it was the main provider of shade on the southern exposure of my house. I need to have two others removed for other reasons. It's been an expensive season for many of us.

I'm glad that your HVAC issues have been successfully resolved. I hope that nothing else needs maintenance for a long, long time!

Maybe you can talk locally appropriate shade tree purchase with Roberta. I was contemplating honey locust trees but am open to suggestions.
