Restorative Justice for Dr Filk

This weekend was one of the most important and meaningful experiences of my life. We experienced the process of Restorative Justice for our FamilyAlmost 2 years ago my dear friend, band mate, housemate and family of choice member John Caspell died as a result of an embolism, after surgery, following a traffic collision. Those of us left mourning

While I'd only talked with John a few times, I got a sense he was someone with a mind that worked like mine in significant ways, and he was to have been a guest at my con, so I'm an affected party. I'm glad to hear that a positive resolution, to the extent that we can talk about positives in such a case, may be coming about.

The best way we described it was as a journey. It was not a road we chose to start but believe we have chosen the right junction. We came a long way on that road and see a pathway forward. I love you too and wish we could all be together when we have these times in which "our families" are all we have.
