Well, we both know why Mr Pointy should be ashamed; and Teppic recently - hmm, well, several reasons. Gimel's told me he bothered a friend of ours from Sacramante with cruel comments.
What is he doing, then? He hasn't posted on this thing for ages. He must be very busy. Or asleep. Perhaps I should make a surprise visit to Ankh-Morpork after all and, erm...
Well, perhaps not intentionally cruel, but rather insensitive and indiscreet. That's at least what Gimel heard. She's going home rather more often recently.
I mean, can't he imagine that other people have feelings as well? Even if they're ancient vampires?
But I hope he's got time for you as well! Other students don't just study all the time, either. Awww, poor Ponder, you sound so totally disppointed in your attempt to be sensible and not disappointed. That Victor needs a decent dose of wakey-wakey potion, or whatever you might call it, every morning.
Well, of course our friends can't keep company with us all the time the way it was during vacations. I'm getting used to Lajos being very busy, telling off local bigwigs, solving idiotic problems via PC, and then being bossed around by his mother. I see less of him than I used to in Ankh-Morpork, but then, that was vacation - just like when Victor and you weer in Bonk.
But I totally refuse to do utterly without Lajos for a day just because of quince jelly. And you don't have to do without Victor, either. Don't try to be heroic.

Oh, good. How is Victor, then?

Oh, good, my dear Master Wizard! Go you!
Yes, go "Hey you!" at him and make him pay attention as you deserve it.
I think I shall go soon and liberate poor Lajos who's apparently confined in his mother's kitchen to stir huge cauldrons full of quince goo.
