Poncywriters Story Exchange
poncywriters is back! (Sorry about the delay) To celebrate, we’re going to start with a story exchange. This is how it’ll work:
Step One: Everyone posts prompts that include about three or four things - objects, situations, phrases you want mentioned, themes you want followed, anything you like - before Friday, 27th of January.
Step Two: On Saturday afternoon, lydiere and I get together, bitch about various things, alternatively try to convince and dissuade each other from buying a dollhouse, and then assign a prompt to each of you.
Step Three: On Sunday, we email each of you with your prompts.
Step Four: You have until Wednesday, 1st of March to write a story in response to your prompts. The recommended minimum length is 1000 words - don’t feel you need to pad it out if the narrative stops before then, but something around there or longer would be great. Please try to edit and polish your story as much as possible before it’s due in - you can even give it to other people to read over if you like (but don’t post it to poncywriters).
Email your completed story as a .txt attachment with all the necessary HTML to either lydiere or me.
Step Five: On Saturday, 4th of March we post the stories, and everyone reads and critiques them. The next day, we go back to weekly themes.
If the PSX works out, we’ll run another one . . . at some arbitrarily defined time in the future : )
So, leave your prompts in a comment to this post (comments will be screened because it’s more fun if you don’t know all the prompts before you get yours) and you’ll hear from us by Sunday!
