There's nothing hard about it; I don't know who you told where you were going, but word never reached me as usual.

You sound determined not to come back.

Once again, I find that I do not know what to say to you. I'll leave it at this: if, even years from now, you find yourself in hot water or at loose ends or whatever it is happens to young men with less sense than God gave an ox, I will still be here. I do not care if it's three in the morning and you're in Guam or somewhere. You know how to find me.
