Adventure in NYC

I went to NYC yesterday. I had a ticket to see Tori Amos at Radio City Music Hall and decided to make a day of it. I arrived in the early afternoon and spent a few hours shopping for a dress to wear to my cousin's wedding next month. Hey, don't feel bad for me. Had I not been so full I would have been eating along with you.

It's funny, I don't remember that much texting and FBing at the Cure concert. I wonder if this was a difference in crowd. Then again, I have become one of those people who checks things now that I have my iPhone. When I saw Dracula a few weeks ago I got restless and started looking at FB.

Anyway, sorry to hear your feet hurt so much. I love Aerosole. You will probably find something decent and comfortable there for not a lot of money. :fingers crossed:

Yeah, you're right. The only time I recall seeing a lot of phones at the Cure show was when Robert Smith decided to wander about the sides of the theater and got stuck on a ledge! It seemed everyone was recording that. That wasn;t so bad; it was the near constant glow at this show that bugged me. I just find it a distraction.

I saw TA twice, Just before Little Earthquakes was released then after...
1st show, just her and the piano, at TLA in Philly... maybe 100 people in the audience and we were all blown away. (she did a Zeppelin medley that we spoke about for weeks!) She was really candid and spoke a lot between songs.
2nd show, at Tower Theatre in west Philly.... with a band and Huge Crowd ... And evil UofPenn frat boys that were heckling her... she handled it all with a quiet grace... very little Commentary... But an outstanding almost Violent Performance... The Frat Boys were even teary eyed when the show was over.

And i agree about the Phone/texting at concerts issue... it is getting out of hand... that's why i stopped going to shows... too many Kids and CellPhones. But it is the way of the next Generation... so not much to do about it.
