Of course. That was my point in the next sentence. But given that this is the situation, I'm happy that I was able to board the plane with all of my belongings. It's security theatre improv. I'm just glad I was able to survive the improv experience without getting the pie.
Silly... And even in Chicago, not every supermarket is 24-7, and neither is every Walgreen's pharmacy. Last time I needed some medical thingie at 2am, we drove around quite a bit trying to find something that was open. Oh look, the drive through pharmacy is open, but what if I don't actually know what I want yet? I suppose we can have fun with them listing everything they carry and the price as they run through the store for a half hour, with cars waiting behind us. Or we can go elsewhere.
Now let's assume I don't have a car, and I need public transit or a cab. More fun. Then you're paying for all that, just to get what, a $4 (at most) bottle of something? Ugh...
