How much is a twenty mile drive in a snow storm worth to you? You shoulda subtracted that from the cost of the too-expensive one before you even went to the second store.

Well, about half the distance was toward home. I was still miles from the rest of my errands, but I was only about 10 miles out of my way.

Who are you?

I both love and appreciate your icon. I have been known to say this when particularly stupid things happen.

If it's the store that I think it is... I happened to be in the Northbrook court store on Tuesday and there was a rather irate lady in the store looking to buy something, that she was assured by the Woodfield store was in stock in Northbrook. Needless to say it wasn't. Sounds like that is normal procedure for the Woodfield store... get the people out of their door one way or the other.

I don't want to tell because the person who I was trying to buy for is on my friends list. But these two are the only locations I know of in Illinois. The only other one I've been to is in the Mall Of America in MSP, and theirs is huge and fancy.

My other interactions with this company have all been stellar. I think this was just a case of no one thinking it through before sending me out: Yes, the Northbrook store had more. And yes, the third item was between the first two in price (ever so slightly cheaper than the most-expensive one).

Hmmmmm... might be the same place... but then again maybe not since where I'm thinking of also has a downtown Chicago store... oh well.

Either way crappy customer service. I'd probably be writting in to complain. Just because I do that these days. I've decided I've had enough of crap service, and if you as a business don't care... that's your loss but I'm going to let them know.
