This is wonderful. I love that it's hard and they fight but that they're still in it. I see that sort of determination between them on the show, even when they're drifting a bit there's still this expectation that they'll be together one way or another.

Also, I love, love, love that Castle keeps her fridge stocked and knows where to go shopping. This is such a great tag to the season and the way she decides to shake things up by putting the things that mean the most to her on her desk is excellent. I kind of wished we got to see her co-workers reaction to it. :)

As always, very lovely!

Thanks so much. I kind of feel like my butt's hanging out there a little with this one, so I especially appreciate the kind words about what works!

Oh, I love this! You always have the best lines, like the bit about the mug and the whole thing with the fat children. This is such a serious piece but you manage to inject just enough humor and levity that it doesn't feel too heavy.

Thanks, but it weighs heavy on me to know that this is a million times more optimistic than I feel about S6. And the populace is not best pleased. And Brain wants to write this same chapter from Castle's perspective, after having edited many, MANY words in Castle's perspective away.

But all of that is churlish and ungrateful. Thank you, sincerely, for reading and reviewing.

Brain always wants to write more words. I say you give Brain what it wants, because I'm curious about the story behind the bird. (Also, when I read this, I totally imagined the bird as Kevin from Up.)
