A/N: Sorry this took a little longer to get up than I wanted. Long, crappy week. One more chapter after this. Thank you so much for the reads and reviews and feedback and flails. As always, for Docnerd and ER.

Spoilers: Spoilers: Set During 'Till Death Do Us Part (4 x 11), but no real spoilers unless you literally know nothing about that episode

Oh yay, I've been looking forward to the next part of this story! I really like the conversation Grazia and Beckett had in the bathroom. Sometimes the whole "Ryan as cockblock" routine can get a little old, but you elevated it above that here.

I also really like being able to see each scene play out from both Castle and Beckett's POVs. I chuckled at the fact that Castle's first instinct to a problem is to throw money at it while Beckett's is to shoot something.

Oh, thank you for saying the Ryan as cockblock works ok! I did worry about that being a stale device and I didn't initially know it would happen in the story (wrote beginning and most of the end and then the middle got big).

Also glad the dual POV hasn't gotten wearisome yet. I think it's important and interesting that a lot of S4 is Castle and Beckett being far apart in their perspectives. In this specific instance, the fact that they're seeing the same things, but against this really busy, emotionally charged backdrop provides a lot of room to play with that. But it makes for long chapters! As I was saying to someone else who reviewed over on FF.net, I know it sounds unbelievable in a nearly-6000-word chapter, but I did edit back a lot of that to (hopefully) keep it manageable.

As for throwing money vs. shooting, they complement each other! Yin and Yang. Because Yin Yin is a panda.

Thanks, as always, for taking the time to read/review!

They do really complement each other. Which reminds me, I also liked Kate's thought that maybe she and Castle should have switched, since Castle's pretty good at comforting crying women while Beckett is used to strong-arming men twice her size. I'm excited to see where you go from here!

THIS THIS EXACTLY THIS. You are a beautiful tropical fish--this was one of my favorite parts of the chapter.

I love this story so much. There's this 'in the moment' quality of the writing that makes their emotions come across so much more intensely. I love watching them figure out (or not) what each other are thinking and how very badly Kate doesn't want to leave Castle feeling guilty or defeated. I also love her confusion about Jenny. I'm so glad you decided to add to this series and I can't wait for the last part. Beautiful! Beautiful it is!

I'm so glad I finally got a chance to read this story, I was looking forward to it all day. I really love how you went back and forth for this and it took me a couple read-throughs to fully understand what was going on and I just want to give my poor babies a hug and tell them it will be okay. I'm really enjoying this story a lot and I REALLY love the Castle-Jenny dynamic--they're the two who aren't cops and so they don't quite get it but they're kind of a partnership all on their own. I like that you're telling that sort of story and keeping that dynamic.

Thank you so much!

Yeah, the dual POV is tricky. I've tried to strike a balance between keeping things as lean as possible without it being too confusing . . . sorry I erred on the side of confusing from time to time.

And thank you for the compliments on the Castle-Jenny dynamic. I'm enjoying exploring that and I'm glad it's not one of those things that is only interesting to me.

Thanks again!
