I'm more or less deeply and fanatically in love with all things Severus Snape/Alan Rickman.

<3<3<3

And I just watched the Chamber of Secrets the other day and realized that Gilderoy Lockhart is the same voice as Miguel from The Road to El Dorado (another of my favorites)!

Andre says I'm too keen on picking actors out from scant roles but I'm telling you, it's a gift. I should be on like... Heroes or some shit.

but-but-

alan rickman and kenneth branagh (lockhart) are in a lot of movies!

branagh did all these shakespeare movies that he directed and acted in (much ado about nothing, hamlet, henry viii--kate winslet was his ophelia and the gorgeous goddesslike emma thompson starred in most of the others). plus he did/is doing the magic flute. and he's in other stuff. i think.

and alan rickman...of the top of my head: love actually (which i'm not a huge fan of, but it's cute), dogma, die hard, sense and sensibility, the upcoming 'nobel son,' dark harbor, robin hood (the one with kevin costner), bob roberts, galaxy quest, something the lord made...okay i cheated and went to wikipedia, but still. yes, he's lovely. he's got that accent. ooh.

kind of deep and slightly terrifying in a weirdly turning on way, like javier bardem. (he was the serial killer in no country for old men) speaking of bardem, i have a theory that psychopaths are somehow intrinsically sexy. in the movies, at least. i mean, anthony hopkins isn't sexy, but hannibal lecter is.

My first (and still favorite) Rickman movie was this one called "An Awfully Big Adventure". Thought I'm probably totally biased because he's got a sex scene in it and he was younger and delicious and yummy and perfect.

Oh and his accent makes me squirm.

And of COURSE bad guys are sexy. It's called the... like the bad boy syndrome, or whatever. They're just so commanding and powerful. Like Mr. Darcy but more Life&Death.

okay, so Johnny Depp for desire (it simply has to be an androgenous man. all beautiful women are too feminine to be androgenous and desire must be beautiful.) and Helena Bohnam Carter for Death. hands down- no one else could pull it off. screw natalie portman. except for when she plays delirium. i know- it would be slightly different from the way delirium is portrayed in the books if she's played by natalie portman, but i really think she could add something to the character, and she could certainly capture the sort of blank niave innocence. Dream, tho, he's the big one. The hardest to caste and the most important to get right. Here's my list of potentials: Clive Owen, David Bowie, Alan Rickman, Jude Law, and James Marsters. It all depends on what side of him you want to portray- he has so many facets to his personality. I mean, if you were going to the distant omniescent king type thing Bowie would be the way to go, but if it was more of a personal, one on one with some girl he's in love with (aka nadia) i lean towards Clive Owen. If ( ... )

you know what might be cool or might totally suck? You caste them all as dream, give them enough makeup to look slightly similar, and use different actors in different scenes througout the film. That could potentialy be awsome if done correctly.

i gotta disagree with you about the 'all beautiful women are too feminine to be androgynous' bit, but otherwise i'm definitely on board. gnarly.

james marsters? hm...i had him all set to play john constantine in a tv series or a reboot movie. in my head, of course. but the idea of spike, snape and bowie all in the same movie kind of makes my head explode with squee.

oh wait. just the nadia plot arc? cause i feel like that's important and cool, but it never gets a good resolution like the rose walker arc does. plus, rose walker is all tied up with the events during the series' conclusion. i figured she'd be vital to the Plot. i mean, it would be true to the spirit of the sandman if they just made it a series of vignettes or something, or a story without a definite resolution, but i mean, the film industry just doesn't like to do these things. the audience wants a nice pretty bow at the end, to wrap it all up. so i'm not totally behind the idea of focusing on nadia.

"harry's mom has got it going on" from the perspective of snape. and i like the weezer song idea. one day, we are going to get some people who can actually play instruments into this band and we are gonna rock out! yeah, i said rock out. and i meant it.

LOL, Snape in the pool, floating on his little raft. *reference to the music video

Dirty man, dirty, dirty man.

Potter's Mom has got it goin' on,
She's all I want,
And I've waited for so long,
Bella can't you see,
You're just not the girl for me,
I know it might be wrong,
But I'm in love with Potter's Mom.

omg, how about:

"Potter doesn't know
that Lily and me
do it in the Astronomy Tower!
She tells him she's in class,
but she doesn't go,
still she's on her knees
and Potter doesn't know!"

that's an AMAZING IDEA.

harry's mom has got it going on
she's all i want and i've waited for so long
harry can't you see, you're just not the boy for me (?)
i know it might be wrong, but i'm in love with harry's mom

alternatively:
minerva can't you see, you're just not the girl for me
lily can't you see, you're the perfect girl for me

i'm going to learn to play the piano (possibly) this semester...perhaps i will develop adequate skill to play simple melodies by ear, and then we can totally record and start a wrocking myspace account.
