MBTI ramblings from Please Understand Me II.
Also, on NF/NF pairings (which would be me--INFP--and Wankface--ENFP):
"...Two empathic NFs can create a wonderfully intimate bond for a time, but eventually such mutual introjection can also invade each partner's privacy--constantly getting into each other's skin can result in getting on each other's nerves" (238).
YES. This was the root our problems, I think. I never felt like I could be my own person with him. We were too similar.
Though, in defense of sixteen-year-old me, he was a T when we first got together. And then we hit college, he found the Humanities, joined some touchy-feely student groups (even by my F standards) and became all affectionate...with other people ahahaha. XD And that doesn't come from a jealous place--trust me, I adored all of the free time his other pursuits afforded me (Hello, introvert!). It was just...he really, really valued other's interpretations of him and building those up, hungering for that validation from other sources, often meant that I--who had already been validating his crazy ass for a few years--didn't need to be "earned" anymore, so all of his energy went to pleasing other people.
And there is my overly personal/vulnerable story of the day. Ahem. *slinks back away in Dark Corner of Introversion*
Also preparing to do a
centi_porn set for Xanxus/Squalo because I've been finding them rather intriguing as of late. Not sure which prompt this will fulfill, but I may retroactively tweak it to make it work, damn it. XD [Strong language ahead, even by my fic standards.]
They are boys. Boys with blood in the creases of their palms, boys with mafioso ambitions, boys without boyhoods, but boys nonetheless.
Boys talking shit about women, tits, pussy. Xanxus says he bought a whore last week. Squalo laughs--who needs it?
Boys talking shit about men they've killed in dark alleys for no real, solid reason. Squalo says, "Sword Emperor, my ass, fucking weak is what he was." Xanxus says, "Cocksucker looked at me wrong."
Boys talking shit about each other. "Say that again and I'll make you suck it." Doesn't matter who. Doesn't matter because a challenge is a challenge is fucking accepted.
