Old God-Man is the only one worth establishing a fan club for--and psychotherapy, but that's neither here nor there. The feel-good sequel pales in comparison.
And don't even get me started on that silly Mormon fan-fic.
Having read the Godman adventures over the years I find the old nasty Godman the sort of vigilante superhero that gives even Batman a bad name. But I suppose folk are right: it's like 'Tom and Jerry'. The old ones are the best, even if violent, racist, and politically incorrect. Both Joshua and Job still make me laugh, and the body count in the former is enough to appease even the most rabid reader of Bret Easton Ellis. And let's examine cases: look at the readership.
God-Man changed the past in 1990 ("Crisis On Infinite Creation"), so these stories actually took place on Earth-Beta, which is considered fiction, except once a year when they get together.
