She's not the same Lola Granola I remember from the past. Mind you, Steve's receding like mad.
What was the problem in publishing this? I agree with strbjun. (Did I really say that?)
But now I have to catch up on the intervening years. I haven't followed Breathed since 'Bloom County' finished. His subsequent strips were neither syndicated nor distributed across the pond (at least to my knowledge).

Breathed's just trying to be provocative. Too bad the boring component far outweighs the others. Opus has to explain it in the first panel, or we dull-witted readers wouldn't get it. Every week in Salon, they run one of these tepid little things, and it gets dozens of messages from readers about how radical and cutting edge it all is.
