Wow, that's great and fits my mood. I gave up on the show early on - too bad. Classic, man!

I think this episode was from the 3rd season. Is this why it went off the rails for you? Playing out the climate hoax for anti-capitalism liberals?

Yeah, good show. 3rd season got generally good reviews. 75 on RT. 63 on Metacritic. Vanity Fair was pretty fair in its review:

The third and final season of Aaron Sorkin’s blustering, occasionally maddening, and, yes, richly entertaining cable-news drama premieres on Sunday night, meaning we’ll soon have to say goodbye to a show, that for all its many flaws, deserved more time to flourish. After taking a rightful battering for an overblown, ill-conceived first season, Sorkin realigned the show for Season 2, making a fictional news scandal the season-long narrative arc, rather than sanctimoniously rehashing old news every week. It was way more interesting having Sorkin tell us his own story than it was hearing how he would have covered real-life stories from 18 months ago, if only he’d been in charge. Season 2 was still puffy and preachy and, oh boy, did at least one woman character get the nasty Sorkin treatment, but it snapped and fizzed like the best Sorkin can. It was a series reborn.

I enjoyed Sam Waterson and Jane Fonda's ( ... )

I have to admit, that Newsroom clip amused me.

Content maybe not, but it's a good clip.
