In all fairness, the longer that Dubya was away from the job,
the safer and better we felt.

If he went to work more often, we might have gone to war with Cuba.

(But yes, both parties are the problem--hell, the two party system is part of the problem too)

Maybe it's the increasing pettiness of the complaints. Democrats made noises about impeachment for various parts of the War on Terror but didn't deny funding for the war. Nor was every single measure in the Senate forced to overcome Cloture/Filibuster.

I expect this to only get worse. Do we really want a completely deadlocked country?

I understand the sentiment, but we must be cautious of how much sway we give our internal political cynicism.

Cultivating such cynicism is a powerful way to convince people to remove themselves from political action, and that serves the current power.
