Maybe those tactics begin to wear thin,
and this is why Romney is president today.
You may secure your base, but the middle
begins to shake their heads.

And yet, the 8th or 9th committee on Benghazi, Benghazi, Benghazi! is going on because Hillary was in charge of the State Department so they have to keep trying to pin blame on her for something.

I don't think it's working for them, though.
They just don't have anything better to do.

Yeah, its been one of the least productive Congresses ever. Of course, if you're entire political philosophy is based on do-nothingism, they're pretty thrilled with the results.

I agree. He's pretty awful. To his credit, President Bush I fired him from his staff over Rove's fondness for "dirty tricks." Rove got much worse later on.

HW fired Rove?

Isn't George HW Bush the one who had Lee Atwater in his camp? Lee Atwater was full of dirty tricks (Willie Horton?)

I mean, I've heard it said that if Atwater didn't die during the 92' campaign, HW mighta gotten his second term.

Yes. Rove was fired by President Bush 1.

I do find this fascinating. Concern about McCain's age and health was fine in 2008

But wasn't it other Republicans who were making a big issue of that?
You guys are more inclined to eat your own.

Honestly I would be less inclined (not really possible) if she was younger and had absolutely no health problems.
I don't know, perhaps it's weird to vote fo or against someone because of political philosophy instead of age and health.

On a side note, I'm not sure Bill helped when he reported it took a full six months for her to recover from her fall.

Maybe Rep. Issa can hold hearings and get to the bottom of this!
